Biography for Doctor Mohammed Elkousy, MD, FACOG
Doctor Elkousy has pursued numerous interests in Maternal Fetal
Medicine including research projects and published articles related to
preterm labor, cervical incompetence, vaginal birth after cesarean
section, and gestational diabetes. Doctor Elkousy joined Maternal Fetal
Associates of the Mid-Atlantic in 2002.
Although Dr. Elkousy has extensive knowledge and experience in all
aspects of High Risk Pregnancy management, he also has a special
interest in Preventive Medicine and Preconceptual and Genetic
Counseling. He is also focused on the establishment of state of the art
perinatal centers in the rapidly growing Loudoun and Prince William
Counties in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Elkousy is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine,
The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and is a Fellow of the
American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Doctor Elkousy is
certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and Maternal Fetal Medicine
Foundation for Nuchal Translucency screening. Additionally he is
certified by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR) of
the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in USA.
