Biography for Doctor Basil Maghak, MD, FACOG
 

Doctor Maghak is one of the founding members of Maternal Fetal Associates of the Mid-Atlantic and was instrumental in the development of the Holy Cross Hospital Perinatal Center in Silver Spring, MD.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in high quality and cutting edge perinatal care. Dr. Maghak is an established leader in quality assurance standards. Although his proficiency is widespread in the management of high risk pregnancies and prenatal diagnosis, Dr. Maghak has particular interest in Medical Complications of Pregnancy and Multiple Gestation.

Dr. Maghak is actively involved in the establishment of state of the art perinatal centers in the rapidly growing Loudoun and Prince William Counties in Northern Virginia, and in the continuing education of the physicians and nurses. He is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and Maternal Fetal Medicine foundation for Nuchal Translucency screening. Additionally he is certified by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR) of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in USA.
