Diabetes Management (both gestational and pre-existing):

Our physicians are experts in the management pregnancies complicated by both gestational diabetes and pre-existing diabetes.  Women with gestational diabetes will benefit from very close and strict monitoring of their blood sugars and of their baby.  Our board certified Perinatologists will be able to determine if you are best controlled with dietary adjustments or medications such as Glyburide or Insulin. 

Women with Pre-existing diabetes can also be managed in our practice, however many of them already have Endocrinologists working with them and these patient are encouraged to follow up with their Endocrinologist regularly.  Because of the higher risks of complications in women with pre-existing diabetes, we would continue to provide detailed fetal management and evaluation.
